    Exceptional Talent

I grew up on the music of the ’60s and early ’70s. I was looking for an old recording of John Sebastian and stumbled upon “Once Upon A Time” video on YouTube. I was blown away! The vocals, melody, hooks, and filming location are unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
I ordered the Orange CD and digital download IMMEDIATELY. The Mona Lisa Twins are truly unique and extremely talented musical phenomena with an extraordinary cover catalog of great Rock & Roll from the Beach Boys, Beatles, Doors, Buffalo Springfield to Simon & Garfunkel and the Rolling Stones.
Beyond the excellent cover materials, The Orange album contains incredible original material. PLEASE…we need another album!!

First heard MonaLisa twins when ‘wish you were here’ video appeared on my facebook page. Had a listen to a few tracks and immediately ordered Orange & Beatles volume 1. Both great albums & highly recommended to anyone who likes real playing and singing. Will be adding the other recordings to my collection soon!

Look what arrived through my letter box today, one happy man here thank you Mona and Lisa. After first listening a couple of the tracks on Facebook/YouTube I bought the download and all your other albums barring one which I will buy and joined the MLT club. Orange is in my favourite album list so of course the download wasn’t enough had to have the real thing and signed. Absolutely love the album. MonaLisa Twins your musical talent, vocals and harmonies are stunning just so much pleasure to listen to. Xx

Orange is a brilliant album. A really fresh sound yet harping back to styles of yesteryear with wonderful harmonies. Still a friend of mine is a definite favourite for me.

Old style melodies yet sounding new and fresh with some subtle twists. Whether its raining or with the sun beatling down this is wonderful easy listening to music. Can’t wait for “Green” 🙂

Close to You, Close to Me

    Greg Dent

I’ve only listened once to “Close to You.” I know I’ll do it again sometime. But about halfway through that one and only time so far, I found myself doing something I hadn’t done in years. I was just bawling and sobbing and thinking vaguely of my childhood. I suppose I had expected something more like the Carpenters’ “Close to You.” This was far beyond. And real. Beautiful and so well crafted, from the unexpected turns in the writing to the closing, jaunty guitar chord. Wow! (Thank you, Twins!)

About the Album

The MonaLisa Twins’ much anticipated follow-up original record to their debut album “When We’re Together”. 5 years have passed since the release of original material while the Twins played countless shows all over Europe, moved their residence to England, and learned some important life lessons. In other words … they lived life.

In comparison to their first album, which was still written in their teens, ORANGE gives a more mature, sometimes satirical, yet overall still light-hearted approach to topics we all deal with. Love, community, doubt, the past and future and the generally unsettling direction society seems to be taking.

While staying true to their passion for melodic, quirky songwriting, plenty of harmonies, a very “60s” sound and twangy guitar licks, this album branches out into new territories and incorporates very psychedelic but also earthy, bluesy, sometimes even jazzy tones. Built upon everything you loved about their debut album, you can expect to hear a more experimental and very tongue-in-cheek side of the MonaLisa Twins.
