Vol. 3 the next level of FAB

Right off the bat, the MonaLisa Twins put their stamp of harmonic heaven on the album by leading with a pristine “If I Fell”, another feat of complex harmonies delivered masterfully.

Not afraid to challenge themselves, the MonaLisa Twins have taken on Cream’s “White Room” and The Beatles’ “Glass Onion”. Cream, a super-group formed by three of the most talented musicians of the genre, at their pinnacle produced an imposing “White Room” which the Twins have redone with astonishing skill and personal touch, while still staying close to the original. The same is the case with the MonaLisa version of “Glass Onion”, which stares undauntingly at the recently released remix of the doyens’ gem.

Lend your ears to “The Best Years of Our Lives” and you’ll be pressed not to shed a tear from the rawness of emotions flowing through the winding story of this heartfelt rendition.

The MonaLisa Twins may seem like your fun little sisters who love to play The Beatles, but don’t be fooled by their carefree appearances. These are inimitable talents, musicians and poets, who stand shoulder to shoulder with the very best of them, literally and figuratively, as is the case with John Sebastian and his accomplished contributions to this and other MLT albums.

Surprising at every turn. Not to be missed.

    Another cracker of an album

Mona & Lisa give brilliant renditions of old songs and give them a new lease of life. They remain true to the original but are still distinctively made their own.

Once again the MonaLisa Twins hit the jackpot

I absolutely love this album especially all the songs they recorded for the album. There are 2 songs I didn’t know & I’m not really into them but they still sound fantastic. Out of the other 12 it was extremely hard to pick a favorite. There was The Night Before which has always been a favorite of mine. You Really Got Me sounded closer to the Van Halen version than the original in my opinion. Time of the Season was absolutely perfect & I love that the guitar solo was added in in place of the organ of the original. Yesterday was different but not quite my favorite. Hey Bulldog & Glass Onion were both fantastic covers of fantastic songs which aren’t quite as popular as they should be. They are both underrated songs that were kind of forgotten over the years. Hey Bulldog is definitely my favorite Beatles song, but White Room has taken the top spot of the album. It is great in every way. The MonaLisa Twins have masterfully covered a great song & my personal favorite by the supergroup Cream. The MonaLisa Twins have really outdone themselves with this album & I look forward to more great covers & albums in the future.

This album is just as good if not better than the first two, The girls give very good covers of some great songs. Give their own songs a listen. They deserve to go far. Such talent should be rewarded.

14 songs from an amazing era by 2 VERY talented girls!

    Tommy (verified owner)

Brand new! Vol. 3 of their “MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more” series this is another must have CD. The girls tackle some great songs here, just look at that list of songs! John Sebastian makes another appearance for the girls on “Did you ever have to make up your mind”! The CD includes a great live version of “You’re going to lose that girl” from the famous Cavern Club! Their harmonies will knock you out as well as their great musicianship. So much talent! Give a listen to the samples and “add to basket”!

I bought all their CDs, eventually you will too!

About the Album

"MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more Vol. 3" is the third cover compilation album released by the MonaLisa Twins. It consists of 14 cover songs, recorded between 2015 and 2018. You will find a lot of Beatles on it but the Twins also covered songs by The Kinks, Cream, Simon & Garfunkel and many more.

John Sebastian (The Lovin' Spoonful) also joins them for a version of his 60's classic "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind".

“We recorded a handful of songs just for the release of Volume 3 and really enjoy the selection of songs on this one. It's a great mix of our favourite tracks from different corners of music, and we honour the songs that we decided to cover immensely. Recording with John Sebastian was especially fun, we did that in our Studio in Merseyside

The album contains mainly of studio recordings with one live performance of “You're Going To Lose That Girl” which got recorded during the Twins' 2 year residency at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool.

Many tracks on the CD have been on the MonaLisa Twins YouTube channel for years, while others have not been published anywhere before. People from all over the world discovered them by searching for covers of their favourite songs and then kept following the Twins’ musical career. The "MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more" Album Series is a fan requested project and you can also find Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in the store.
