Live in Concert 2007 (Full Show)

This is the show that set it all off. We were only 13 years at the time, awkward teenagers who had discovered their love for playing music. Up until then we had only played little school performances or goofed around in the studio with dad. Or played music in our bedrooms away from any prying ears.

Full Concert Playlist

Together with dad and our stepmum we decided to put on a concert for friends and family back in 2007. To play a little musical “time travel” and to perform as many different genres and songs we could with our then very limited skills. We picked 24 songs from different eras, many of which had been taught to us by our guitar and drum teachers, and we even added our very first original “Alone” to the setlist.

Looking back, this was such a crucial experience that would teach us so much. It was the first time where we felt that music is something we can “do”. That playing music and performing it for people can be fun and very rewarding and something that, if we put enough practise in, might even turn into something to be proud of. It really kind of started this whole journey …

A few of these early videos are still up on YouTube but we took the majority down many years ago. We wanted the spotlight to be on our more recent videos and thought that these old ones just weren’t that great. We still think that some of these videos are a little bit embarrassing but having gained some perspective, and with enough time having passed we think they are a great time document and we really treasure them.

We’ve been asked by a few Club members over the years whether we could make all the videos available for the Club again. And why not! This place is made to tell more of our story and this concert definitely tells the story of our humble beginnings. We hope you will like some of those videos …

Danke weiter so… Manfred

I love that “Smoke on the Water”…that video needs to go public…..and….”Baby Blue” Papa Rudi is smoking’ on that vocal…and did you notice it’s Mona playing keyboard and Lisa on drums …I’d also like to see Baby Blue go public WOW !….I am so glad you gave us these videos …I am enjoying this ❤️🧡

Mona and Lisa’s Smoke On The Water is hot!!! Lisa belts out those signature classic guitar riffs with perfection, so satisfying. Mona is awesome on the drums, such crisp beats, can feel it all, perfection again. For someone who has not picked up English yet, Lisa’s singing of this iconic rocker is right on! With those occasional smiles, she is having a good time. Papa Rudi on the keyboards, does… Read more »

I really like the performance of Goodbye My Lover. I’m not familiar with the song at all but I love Lisa out front leading the band and singing with 13 year old passion in every word. I love Rudolf’s beautiful keyboard playing and Mona behind the drums, focusing on the percussion and adding some beautiful spot on backing vocals. It puts a happy tear in my eye.

Hi Tim Yeah, their passion and love for their music make them fearless brave artists. Another example is Lisa’s solo vocals on I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker. She sang it with passion and heart, and in other songs with amazing sensitivity, even while not understanding the English words. I can hear Mona’s rocker vocals at 13, so powerful and commanding. They are both inspiring to watch. The whole… Read more »

Hi Jung, there are some very nice things about each of the songs in this concert. I think Lisa was a little more confidant or fearless and Mona a little more reserved but man, her timing on vocals and percussion is flawless. I can’t imagine how many hours they spent in their rooms practicing these songs. I think it would be cool if they put the band back together and… Read more »

To redo this album in a live concert…just the 4 of them with the girls much improved musicianship and mature adult voices would be kickass…they could do it at the Brian Epstein Theatre and / or the Cavern Club and of course they’d need to have somebody videotape and run the sound board…..I would take time off from work and fly or cruise across “the pond” to see it. They… Read more »

I enjoyed watching that very much. Taking in the entire concert is important. That was quite an undertaking for 13 year olds, and you were more than up to it. A true harbinger for all of your future successes. Thanks so much for that.

Hey, I just rewatched the whole concert. I think that band may have some potential lol. To play all those different instruments and learn the lyrics to all those songs, in a language that you barely knew – wow what an accomplishment. To see Mona & Lisa at such a young age and to know them now is wonderful. We see the growth and the sophistication of their music and… Read more »

In “Back To Life” Mona and Lisa’s singing is really exquisite. Their vocals carry on two separate dynamic lines in counterpoint, and they do it so wonderfully, it really stands out. You would expect this level from singers who have been singing professionally for years, but Mona and Lisa at 13 do it like pros! The superb choreographic singing just arises so naturally from them in perfect harmony and sync,… Read more »

I love watching young Mona and Lisa doing those pop vocal songs and they do them very well, but I’m glad they didn’t go in that direction with their careers. I’m sure they would have been successful as their drive and determination would have made them succeed. It’s just that I probably wouldn’t have been following them. 🙁

Hi Tim, I am glad Mona and Lisa followed the musical path they did, or I wouldn’t have found them either. Having said that, while I’m not a big fan of rap/pop, Mona and Lisa’s “Aufstehn’s is just awesome, I love it. If Mona and Lisa suddenly became rap artists, I think I’d jump all in with them, their music, whatever style is just contagious.

Jung, I will listen to these girls no matter what they play now. Most of the covers they do now I would pass over by anyone else. Some of them I didn’t even like by the original artists. Mona and Lisa just have a special touch with any song they do. I love all the songs on this concert. It’s so hard to believe they were only 13 and already… Read more »

Hi Tim, Yes, well said I agree. I just love everything they do. Some of these songs I would not normally listen to or I’ve heard a lot over the years and don’t do much for me any more, but when Mona and Lisa do it, wow it sounds so awesome. It brings them “Back To Life”. They have this magic with whatever music they touch. When I watch videos… Read more »

Stand By Me was an interesting rendition. Perhaps a regular rendition would be good.

Agreed Tim & Jung …. I think they’re truly old souls from /of that Era and even from before ( Tonight You Belong To Me ), reincarnated to channel the importance of music that is timeless, because it’s from within deeply and when sung & Instrumentation is all intertwined and aligned….. It Resonates distinctively to Reach Out to All who are receptive and are touched instantly …. You can agree/disagree… Read more »

Hi Jacki, to your point, I think Austria’s Mozart lives on in these 2.

Jacki, I’ve read some books over the years on NDE’s — (near death experiences,) & I feel that almost anything is possible. So I’m open to that belief because of the evidence I’ve read & heard about. It’s hard to explain how W. A. Mozart could play a violin at age 2 by just watching his dad’s musician friends. He started studying piano at age 3 & was composing music… Read more »

I remember seeing this a long time ago and my favorite part is Mona on Twist and shout! LOVE seeing her play the drums! That show is so much fun! Thanks for putting it in the club for us!

So interesting to see this again. So much has been done in the 16(?) years since. It’s amazing (even though the word “amazing” is usually overused, “I stand in amazement” is the apt descriptor here) how this first performance foreshadows what was to come. All the elements for what will be are there. It’s the diamond that will be worked on and polished to what it is today. 💎🤩

As I watch these videos, I find myself wondering about the time leading up to these shows. There is so much energy on the stage, I can only imagine the nervous excitement in planning this. I am sure it started the moment someone said, yes let’s do it. I wonder if it was like kids in the car. Are we there yet? The historical content on this site is amazing.… Read more »
