Hi, I’m Filippo, i just received my 1 year MLT membership. Thanks to Diana for the gift. I hope this year will be great for everyone. Ciao
Welcome Filippo. I expect this year to be great for sure.
Filippo ! I’m so glad you introduced yourself. This club is amazing. Welcome!
Filippo, I meant to ask how you discovered MLT?
I discovered MLT on youtube because I love The Beatles and I often like listening to Beatles cover. I then started listening to the other songs too and appreciating them. I play piano as a hobby since I was a child and I love music.
Welcome, Filippo! And THANKS again, Diana!
Hi Filippo, welcome to the club, I hope you enjoy it.

I watched the Livestream again last night and must say the music sounded even better the second time around. I also took down a few notes from the chat. There were 36 U.S States represented in the chat as well as 35 countries including Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Russia, Nicaragua, Gambia and get this, Antarctica. I’d say you were being heard all over the world, amazing. Also, I did not see… Read more »
Wow Tim!
You kept good track of all those details. That’s very interesting, nice job!
Thanks Bud, I took my time scrolling through the chat but still could have missed a state or country but I know I got most of them. Some countries there were multiple viewers and Germany, England and of course Canada had many viewers. I think they did well.
I also just realized, because there was a viewer from Antarctica, all 7 continents were represented, pretty cool.
I once had a high school Music student whose dad worked as a scientist in Antarctica one-month a year. There can’t be many people who do that!
Thanks again for keeping track of all the countries! I find it hard to listen to our twins while trying to read & post Chat, but it was fun! — Bud
Bud, I’m not sure how life works in Antarctica but I imagine a team of scientists sitting in a tent doing research, only Sunday they were taking a break and listening to the twins.
Tim, I have to admit that my eyes popped when I saw you report that the livestream was being viewed in Antarctica! I wasn’t even sure that the internet was available there due to the logistical difficulties there would be with both fiber and satellite connections. I found this article that explains how it works:
https://www.pilotfiber.com/blog/antarctica-internet
David, that’s an interesting article. I didn’t give it much thought, I just assumed there was some sort of satellite connections. It’s kind of funny that internets speeds are actually faster on the moon than in Antarctica. I’m glad to know that with internet time being an extreme premium there that they use it for only essential matters, like watching the MLT Livestream.
Yeah, I didn’t understand why it would be faster on the moon than in Antarctica, unless they’re assuming the same Mbps for the moon that they described for New York. The trick with using satellites for Antarctica is that a so-called geostationary satellite that “hovers” at a fixed point in the sky has to orbit over the equator, meaning it would always be below the horizon as viewed from Antarctica.… Read more »
Thank you, Tim, for analyzing the chat! I knew that there was good global representation but had no idea that so many countries participated. And all 7 continents – wow! What a demonstration of a very positive use of the internet AND the extraordinary power of excellent music + beautiful souls for good in this world!
Thanks Jeanette, it is amazing how the internet can connect us and a YouTube video can reach all corners of the world. Bringing together 1700 hundred people from all walks of life to enjoy one thing we have in common, the love of good music.
Thanks for pulling the stats Tim. Truly international indeed, 35 countries nice. I did post some MLT videos a while ago at a Korean music forum site, maybe it worked. 😁
That’s a good idea to try Korea. I posted their cover of Rodriguez’s Sugar Man a while back at a South African station. Since that was so popular there when it was released, I figured they’d love it. I never heard from them.
I completely forgot I asked that question, and I loved the creativity of the response.
The livestream to the general public was a huge success it appears. I worried that the chat part would too chaotic for the ladies to keep up with since they had over 1700 viewers at the time. It’s a great way to give the folks who are subscribers to them on YouTube and Facebook a chance to see them more like we do on the MLT club and wow what… Read more »
Another terrific livestream! I really do hope the it has the desired effect on membership and exposure for the girls and their wonderful parents!!! Diana I cannot say enough about your generous gift to 5 very fortunate people, that was above and beyond! I had some reservations as I mentioned before, but all in all the respondents were very well behaved. And I hope the requests for nuptials brought smiles,… Read more »
IDEA – Mona and Lisa, you recently issued a questionnaire.I can’t remember the exact context, be here is a super idea in which you arrange and play songs requested by the MLT Club.. It could work like this: 1/ The MLT Club asks its member which songs they would like Mona and Lisa to arrange and play. We all respond with a list our favourite classic numbers yet to be… Read more »
I was out of town and on the road most of Sunday, so I missed the live show. 🙁 After a 19 hour day, I was just going to watch a minute but of course wound up watching it all. It was great seeing commenters tracking attendance as it ticked up–1300, 1400, up to more than 1700. Seeing the donations was heartwarming, just knowing there’s a larger audience out there… Read more »
Back when we were voting on whether to open the Christmas livestream to the larger YT audience, I think most of us were of two minds: yes, we wanted a chance to have the Twins to ourselves and yes, we wanted to give their music as much exposure as possible. I know it was extra work, but I think the two Livestream approach really was the best solution. I hope… Read more »
