    Brilliant cover versions

I bought this because of the fabulous cover versions of You’re Going to Lose That Girl (which is a much better rendition than the Beatles’ own version on the Help LP), and I I Fell, which is at least as good a the original. The other material on the album is also excellent, but the two songs I have mentioned are just wonderful. So thank you. Highly recommended.

Please do WALK RIGHT BACK by Everyly Brothers

I first heard the Mona Lisa Twins doing IF I FELL. I bought their 3 CDs doing the Beatles after that. Their harmony is perfect. They’d be great singing WALK RIGHT BACK. Harry Nilsson realized what a great work this was and did a version of it. Way to go, Mona Lisa Twins! Keep up the great work!

Time of the Season is music to my ears :)

I enthusiastically agree with all of the positive reviews and comments already published here by my fellow MLT fans! To offer a couple more comments on one of my favorite tracks of the songs on this fab CD, let me say I cannot get enough of the guitar solos on Time of the Season. The first time I heard the song, I knew there was something very special going on here, during the both the instrumental interlude and the long fade out after the final vocals. No more do we have the original version’s organ solos, but instead we have lovely acoustic guitars! And not just a common, even sparkling, solo — instead a duet or double-tracked guitars. And even further, not just a harmonious guitar solo, but an interweaving of melodic threads, borrowed from the original organ solos and from the song itself. That is intriguing, ear-piquing music, my friends! It is a joy finding the threads of familiar bits of the song, juxtaposed with other familiar bits played over and underneath, woven like a fine harmonic tapestry of sound. Thank you for this musical treasure, Mona and Lisa. This song and this CD are a lovely gift to all of us who love your music.

They are the reason you and I have become dear friends, so THANK YOU MLT!!! ???????? These BAM CD’s (I call then pB&m) are wonderful!!! I adore “Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind” with John Sebastian, JOHN SEBASTIAN HIMSELF!!! I even wrote them a thank you e-mail to follow up my FB comment to them. ADORE that new video!!! ❤❤

    If I fell...

It was easy to fall in love with this album covering golden nuggets ,psychedelic White Room and the very seductive You really Got me.The twins are ultra talented and a delight .They have a great comic twist with Busstop(watch the vid) and Maxwell’s silver Hammer;Loving the covers but looking forward to MLT’s next original album.
BTW…every shipment is like Christmas all over again with little gifts and paper mementos. So generous in a stingy world.

It is very easy to fall in love with this album.Performing very much more than Beatle covers, the band has far reaching talents.Their take on White room is very refreshing with interesting harmonies. A few golden nuggets are included such as Peter and Gordon’s hit World without Love as well as the very seductive You really Got me allowing for some hetro lust displacement.Hot musicians that are easy on the eyes but sexual in their performance and not the packaging.
Looking forward to their next original album!

About the Album

"MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more Vol. 3" is the third cover compilation album released by the MonaLisa Twins. It consists of 14 cover songs, recorded between 2015 and 2018. You will find a lot of Beatles on it but the Twins also covered songs by The Kinks, Cream, Simon & Garfunkel and many more.

John Sebastian (The Lovin' Spoonful) also joins them for a version of his 60's classic "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind".

“We recorded a handful of songs just for the release of Volume 3 and really enjoy the selection of songs on this one. It's a great mix of our favourite tracks from different corners of music, and we honour the songs that we decided to cover immensely. Recording with John Sebastian was especially fun, we did that in our Studio in Merseyside

The album contains mainly of studio recordings with one live performance of “You're Going To Lose That Girl” which got recorded during the Twins' 2 year residency at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool.

Many tracks on the CD have been on the MonaLisa Twins YouTube channel for years, while others have not been published anywhere before. People from all over the world discovered them by searching for covers of their favourite songs and then kept following the Twins’ musical career. The "MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more" Album Series is a fan requested project and you can also find Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in the store.
