Early The Who albums appeared in the UK and in the U.S.A and Canada in somewhat different configurations, but on the second U.K. release A Quick One , John Entwistle’s homage to arachnids, Boris The Spider, was a fan favourite.

Yes David. Just this afternoon I heard some guy’s sad voice warbling Merry Little Christmas over an antique/collectables store p.a. system. It was truly dull compared to MLT’s. Lisa’s guitar bridge in the middle is one of my favourite ear worms. I just love following it, note for note, amazed at its simple perfection.

Incredible David. I’ve never seen that before. Then, predictably, YouTube flagged a few more by Big Al. So, half an hour later….. The guy is so caustic, so brilliant.
