Paul, the band scored a hit in Germany with this song in 1984. I remember it as if it were yesterday. Back then, I only moderately liked the song. Today, I like it much better. My taste in music has obviously broadened.

Paul, the song sounds familiar, but it must have been quite a while since I last heard it. I really like Bryan Ferry’s voice, but somehow I haven’t managed to really delve into the band’s music yet. The songs “Dance Away” and the cover version of “Jealous Guy” immediately come to mind. Both are wonderful songs.

A saxophonist was hired for Manuela’s funeral. He was originally supposed to play “Take Five,” a piece Manuela loved, but he didn’t feel confident enough to do it; instead, I chose “Baker Street,” which he played well. I think she would have liked it. Since then, the song has held a special meaning for me.
