Tim, it seemed that hitch-hiking used to be quite common over here when I was young, and whilst I’ve no doubt that it still goes on in the UK, I would suspect that it’s not nearly as prevalent as it was.

Tim, “When I Need You” was indeed probably his signature song, but “The Show Must Go On” did very well in the UK, reaching no. 2 in the charts.

Jürgen, some other hits of his that you might recognise, apart from the 2 mentioned above, are “One Man Band”, “Long Tall Glasses”, “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” and “I Can’t Stop Loving You”.
