my wife and i saw her early in her career, about 1970. in asbury park n.j., she lived in the area. what was memorable was that she came back for so many encores that she said she ran out of songs and played a few of them over again. 50 years later it is still one of my favorite concerts.

i can see that but melanie had a slight vibrato to her voice. it was a distinctive sound. i love how monas and lisas voices have matured over the years.

didn’t know where to post this. thought the club members would find this interesting since it pertains to how m.l.t. does business. i saw Melanie in 1970 and still remember it to this day she was unique. give this a read.
