Many of the clocks that I repair are family heirlooms. They belonged to parents or grandparents. I have had people break down in tears upon hearing a clock chime for the first time in decades. A fun part of following these two is the quiet comments they make to each other. For instance in part 2 of the Christmas Brownie video Mona asked what happened to the reindeer to make him so angry. Lisa replied sotto voce ” He had a sister named Mona.” Too funny.

Physical media is making a comeback, but many of us old timers never got away from it. Good vinyl has gotten a bit pricey, but around here CDs can be had for a buck. The thrill of the hunt for both is a hoot. My favorite reproduction media is magnetic tape. Both reel to reel and cassettes.
